HunchBluntley: When I click on one of the news articles from the News carousel on the front page, my click is sometimes registered as having been on one of the arrow buttons that scroll the carousel, rather than the news post itself, even though my mouse cursor wasn't anywhere near the arrow button the site thought that I clicked. Sometimes (as happened earlier), this occurs multiple times in a row. The tab definitely was not indicated to still be loading when I had this experience a little bit ago (though I know that doesn't always matter on the modern web, where lots of page elements load separately from the rest of the page, well after the "page loading" indicator has gone). This is in up-to-date, mainline Firefox on Win 11, though it's been happening now and again (though not rarely) for probably more than a year, back when I was still on a Windows 8 laptop on Firefox ESR. Haven't bothered to report it before now, as it doesn't seem to occur reliably, and it's not exactly the end of the world, but it is irritating.
It happens to me with the mouse middle click (which is supposed to do a double click) since I replaced it, but I really think it's a mouse problem in my case, as the middle button, the wheel, has the left-right functionality, so when I click on the wheel I suppose the mouse accidentally sends a left or right to the web page (clicking maybe it's easy to not do it perfectly in the middle, or the wheel doesn't stop precisely, IDK).
I tried just now with another mouse without the left-right function on the wheel and it doesn't give me this problem.
In any case what should be a plus of the mouse turns into an annoyance.
