Just got a newsletter with that subject. Fake 'warnings' like that are terrible form. Would've thought GOG is above such spammer tactics.

That's all, have a nice day everyone!
If you don't like the form GOG does mail promos, just unsubscribe from them.

Hover your name - Orders & Settings - Subscriptions - uncheck everything.

Problem solved.

Have done that of course. Still, bad form.

Yeah i've more-or-less unsubscribed to everything. They tend to send lots of expiring discount codes, which just clutters my email and makes me dislike having email at all.

Even worse: having a service and sending out any mail with "Warning" in the title, even adding an Unicode warning symbol is very harmful for the users and company alike. Just imagine if GOG really needs to put out a warning at some point, like for some hack, it really downplays these issues. It sets actual warnings into a weird perspective.
We already have the newsletter, there is no need to get even more attention, he still have them, because we want them! We want the news, that's why we have the newsletter.
These sorts of shenanigans are the type of things that put a newsletter on a spam/scam list.
If you do not end up on the list, it devalues real warnings at the very least.
It also devalues your newsletter. Why read if you try to push so hard?
It devalues your company because it puts your tactics on a similar level as the senders of junk-mail.
Think before you send!

This may sound hard to you, especially if you're a suit, but be very sure of this: I write this, because I like you and want to see you around for much longer.

What you say is hard, but true. When I saw the word "Warning" and the triangle symbol of danger, I thought that is was something serious about the site, not just another sale.
The notion that "everything is allowed" is dangerous. Some things must remain untouched, and used only when they are truly needed at the time.
I don't want to unsubscribe from the newsletter, because I want to be informed about sales or other news, but fake warnings such as this need to be given greater thought before publication.
I believe "WARNING" should only be used in a dangerous or dire situation.
I consider it a bad marketing tactic because no one will have the desire to open the mail again once they learned "OK, that's just another regular sale."
Well, there is always the danger of people necroing threads, that are almost a year old.
Necroing is not bad, as long as it brings out some interesting discussion :)

If they've sent this out recently (as Seb7.9's screenshot suggests), then I'd suggest complaining to their GDPR address instead of just complaining on the forums.
To be fair, Deathwing & Hired Gun ARE cheaper if you buy them individually vs the combo pack that's not advertised. :)

Well, if the problem still (or again) persists, it's worth replying, rather than opening a new thread with the same title.
