When it was just introduced, GOG featured its videos in the sales. But nowadays, it appears as if the video section is all but forgotten. I can't find a link to it in Galaxy (only ever games) and never see any videos in sales anymore. And here I was hoping to see more like The Gamers and JourneyQuest (I'm still hoping it'll come on sale).

So, what gives? GOG considers videos a failed experiment?
Yep. A games store isn't the place to sell videos apparently.
Here's one.
Hey, Orionos! You are the second person to ask that - https://www.gog.com/forum/general/is_gog_movies_dead/page1! :D

Has the dusty movie section been getting a little publicity of late, no matter how wee?
I get that Hollywood movies aren't coming to GOG (even though a simple search for Full Movie on YT proves they could). I think movies from 1970-2000 should have been doable though.

That said, there's enough Indie movies out there that are fun to watch. Some use Kickstarter to get new episodes out. Take the ones I mentioned from Dead Gentlemen (http://deadgentlemen.com/) / Zombie Orpheus (http://www.zombieorpheus.com/). GOG can offer them a distribution platform and a target audience (they are obviously targeting gamers).

Yes, they're goofy, and nowhere near Hollywood quality. But there's a time for watching goofy. And I still recommend the Gamers-series on GOG to all my geeky friends.

And what about Arrowstorm (http://watch.arrowstormentertainment.com/)? They publish Mythica, admittendly not the best movies, but I wish I could pursue my passion like that (and I did enjoy watching them). Once again, they could forego their own distribution platform in favor of GOG, gaining an audience and possibly saving on costs.

And what about some stuff that is freely available? I'd pay to have things like Zeitgeist or Star Trek fan-made movies centrally available in GOG rather that having to look them up.

Maybe GOG was too ambitious. But that doesn't mean the videos have to disappear altogether. At least bring them back in the sales and give them a page in Galaxy, if not an embedded player.

PS
Very funny, tiny. Now get back on topic. :)
That kid's got abs though. Is it wrong to be a bit envious?
