Like in the topic subject :)
Silent Hill (2006)

Despite a few liberties and deviations taken it's arguably one of the best if not THE best adaptation of a video game franchise.

Also features some of the most gruesome death scenes/sequences ever put to film:
Flayed Alive
Razor Wire Vengeance

The one that's probably made best and still true to it's orignal is Prince of Persia.

But I also had a good laugh at Street Fighter (yes, the movie with Jean Claude Van Damme and Kylie Minogue). It never tried to take itself seriously and was honest about how ridiculous it was without causing headaches like Mario Bros.
The "Tomb Raider" movies.
I like 'em all, though I probably like the 2018 one (with Alicia Vikander) best.
Lord of the Rings, they even wrote a book of it.

it's trash
Clue.

Which is also my top pick for favorite movie. (It ain't a video game adaptation!)

Honorable mention to Mortal Kombat (1995) that introduced me to my favorite genre of music as an impressionable mid-teen.

EDIT: This is well past its expiration, but would have been a fun thing at its time: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MMXME2pm83c

I'd say the Uncharted movie is actually pretty good.

The topic subject doesn't explicitly say video game adaptation, therefore Clue still counts.

Haven't seen it in ages, but it sure is mammorable.
As far as "good" ones go, I'd say:

Mortal Kombat - honestly the best version of Shang Tsung. Even better than in the games. But forget about Annihilation
Tomb Raider - the ones with Angelina Jolie. The movies are OK if you want some cheap action/fantasy entertainment, but they couldn't have picked a more perfect actress for the role. Wish casting these days was as good and faithful as back then.
Death Race (2008) - just plain fun.
Resident Evil - the first one was watchable.

I am also soon going to watch Far Cry. Mr. Boll never disappoints (one way or another :P)

I successfully guessed approximately what the clip would be before clicking, and was right. Yvette is hilariously done.

Yeah, the Cluedo movie is great. I loved the way they recorded three endings for it as well.

Otherwise, I'd probably have to say "Wreck-it Ralph" - it's not strictly speaking an adaptation, but it's probably the best pure video game movie I can think of (they're usually, well... shit).
Has to be the Far Cry 3 Experience. Is not really a movie but still win hands down.

Edit: back when I first saw the trailer from the game, heard the gunshots from M.I.A music for days, those really stick.

Yeah, this movie is actually pretty good unlike what has been shown in cinemas.

Yeah :) While I have quite a collection of adventure movies on Blu Ray, I feel no need to add Uncharted to my collection.

I didn't care so much that it was different than the games (but I do agree that the main char felt way too young), but it was so uninspired, as if they had worked off a checklist and added some betrayal now and then for the sake of it.
It's not necessarily a 'bad' movie, but it just has nothing special about it (except Papa Joes in Spain).
