"A narrative-driven card-based resource management title in which players will have to play the cruel game of the Sultan and complete dreadful tasks that will force them to assassinate, abuse, and perform other hideous tasks. However, not everything is lost as your rising power as a servant of the Sultan will grant you the tools to end his tyrannical reign.
This is a tale of love, death, and magic freely based on One Thousand and One Nights. You play as one of the powerful ministers of the mighty Sultan, a cruel king who treats his subjects like pawns in a deadly game for his own pleasure. Each week, depending on his mood, the Sultan will command you with one of four tasks: Carnality will require you to seek carnal pleasures; Extravagance compels you to spend lavishly; Conquer forces you into dangerous expeditions; and Bloodshed demands a human sacrifice. Fail any of them, and you will pay the price with your own life.
Sultan’s Game is a narrative-driven card-based resource management game with roguelike mechanics where players must make tough choices to complete the Sultan’s desires. The action takes place in a city, where players allocate resources to various locations —such as a palace, noble district, brothel, bookstore, public bathhouse, a dark alley in the slums, wilderness, ancient ruins, etc— during each turn. However, you can use your wits to either support the Sultan, and gain rewards, or plot to assassinate him. Playing cards will let you allocate resources and allies to complete each task, but it’s up to you to decide what to do with your power: will you use it to dispose of your enemies or to pursue forbidden romances? After each game, players will get points that will enhance their resources for their next run: use them wisely and who knows if the cycle of bloodshed can end.", developed by Double Cross, published by
