I already knew the context, and the phrase didn't still sound great.
offending anyone who liked Win10
come on, it was a generic phrase to express disappoint over the new product. It wasn't directed at you, so you shouldn't have taken it personally.
[game] is unplayable [..] because I find it hard to set up?
err.. this example with old games is a bit forced, as we're talking about modern product options.
Anyway, isn't that what Steam implies?
They can sell old titles to you, but then it's your business to make them work.
Optionally working games? That's crap.
does that make it mandatory or does that make me lazy?
I can do an example with Gog: if the downloader will be abandoned, Galaxy will become basically mandatory for many users.
(it won't be a problem for me, however, if Gog will improve it and will add a good installers management)
As for teaming up..
it depends on the way, obviously.
