I have wasted the past 12 hours trying to get this game to work on my keyboard. I have given up - it doesn't run through Galaxy. I have read the forum posts and searched the net - any1 got any ideas of a fix, W3 has the same issues but is playable once restarted machine.

I am (enter useful politically correct word) off !!!

yes i am using Win 10, and yes I have changed my keyboard - HELP please

Ian, what was your old keyboard and what's the new one? Perhaps there are old drivers or software that need to be uninstalled that are interfering?
Your post is so sparse on details it's hard to give any useful advice or narrow down the issue.

What exactly is the issue? That the game doesn't launch from Galaxy? Then does game launch outside of Galaxy? Does it launch from galaxy if you use another keyboard?

Based on the amount of information, the best advice I can give you right now is try Linux.

Hey Groot - my normal keyboard is usb Razer Black Widow, my old one is a Microsoft nine pin din - neither W2 or W3 work with the Razer, W3 sort of works with the nine pin din.

thanks for replying

Clarry - i ran Linux for 12 years. W2 does not recognise any keyboard, W3 works on the old one but not my Razer, and even then, it loses the keyboard and only works after i have restarted my comp.

Two quick things I can think of (both have probably already occurred to you, but may as well cover the bases):

1) did the Razor come with any software and, if so, have you tried with just the generic Microsoft drivers instead (or perhaps you can just disable the software when running the games)?
2) if the keyboard didn't come with software, di you check their website to see if there is some you can try?

*edit* Oh, and check This thread. Maybe yours is a similar issue?

That, and "eat your carrots and love your mother". Then you are all set, for the rest of your life.

I uninstalled Gog Galaxy, wiped every trace of W2 from my drive, and installed the last but 1 version of the game (the last patch only gave cloud saves if memory serves)

tc mate :)

@chatnick - ty for the links, i appreciate it.

Be sure you don't have a joystick plugged in.
