Best wishes to you and your family members. Hope things will be well. And, yeah grunthos does not deserve his neg rep.
Hope your grandma gets well soon!

Momo1991: ~btw, I've seen grunthos generosity in action and been giving plus 1's wherever I see him. It just goes to show that rep is dead and that we need to judge forum members on their words and actions, not the number under their name.
Absolutely! I've seen the highly-rated acting like asshats, and the negatively-repped like true gentlemen... and vice-versa, of course, but the point is that it's our actions that define us, not the rep system here.

~laughs~ indeed! But I guess the trolls don't think similarly since they're de-repping me as fast as their little fingers can hit the red button. I still say, "Let's enjoy this amazing place, have fun, be kind to each other and take back the forum from trolls. Rep is dead, so everyone, let's stop worrying about it ;-)"

Meanwhile, I hope you're feeling better today and that things improve for both your grandmother and your sis-in-law very soon.
Both are doing much better today, thanks! And I'm feeling a lot better than yesterday, too, so YAY on all counts!
And more random kindness! akhliber and grunthos64 both gifted me AT THE SAME TIME! :O So, courtesy of one of them, we have Beyond Good and Evil to pass on!

Woohoo for Random Kindness! ^__^

Tell me why you want the game, and I'll random.org it at quarter after 5PM (which is in about 4 hours.)

Ready? GO!

Because i never played it. And i'm drooling all over seeing those graphics. Plus, the story seems more mature you would assume seeing some of the characters.

Thanks to all the parties involved for their generosity.

Rayman 2 to first person to tell me a random kindness they have done. I prefer recently, but it can be whenever

Really glad to know that your loved ones are doing well now and you are feeling a lot better also, life can be quite testing sometimes but it usually makes up for it with brighter days. Thanks to everyone including but not limited to akhliber, grunthos64 and ofcourse yourself genkicolleen for offering Beyond Good and Evil. All I can say is that it has been on my wishlist for as long as I can remember and I still haven't been able to get my hands on it yet for some reason or another, I would very much like to play it because it is unlike any other action/adventure game where you shoot with a camera instead of a gun. ;)
OK, so only two people in for the drawing! Wow, a 50% chance!

Drumroll please...

And the winner is...

#2, stg83! Heading over to PM the code to you now :D Thank you very much grunthos64 and akhliber for making not only my day, but someone else's as well!
Thanks again for the GA and congrats to the winner.

And as for our host: hang in there. Don't let things get to you. I hope that both your relatives will be well. And take better care of you. If you don't, no one else will ( at least in my experience ). So, take better care of yourself. Let us know how things worked out for your grandmother and your sister in law. Best wishes.

Not in for the game, but can't sleep, so reading the forums, and I do have a story to share regarding this. Don't anyone get the wrong idea, because it doesn't happen all the time. The reason it's a story is because it's out of character for me, not in character.

But I've always felt that cops, firemen, and teachers had the most underappreciated, and underpaid, yet most important, jobs in the world. It's always been a source for me of how things aren't working correctly when someone that can dribble a big round ball makes millions while someone who's life is literally on the time every day, AND it's on the line in service to others, lives in poverty.

So one day a couple weeks ago I was in line at the local McDonald's and a police car was in front of me. So when it came my turn, I made my order and asked to pay for the cop's order as well. The voice through the intercom told me it wasn't just one, but two orders, and I said that was fine, I would pay for it.

So we both drive around to the pay window, where they're told they owe nothing and move forward to get their order and while waiting to receive their order the passenger door opens up and this amazingly beautiful woman police officer walks back to my car and thanks me personally. Introducing herself and telling me about their day and how they had been having a bad one and just wanted one of those McDonald's Café Moca things or whatever they are, and how it turned around their whole day to get to the pay window and discover they owed nothing.

So yeah, do random acts of kindness, because the world is basically shitty, and you never know how something so small can improve someone's lives, even briefly. Plus I didn't mind the eye candy one bit, I'm not gonna lie. So we both got something out of it.

genkicolleen: I have had a horrible, stressful day. In short, grandma had surgery for cancer, my sis-in-law aka BEST FRIEND had to be taken to the hospital and it does not look good, AND I ended up with heat exhaustion for the second time in three days. BAD DAY.

So I finally get a chance to sit down at my computer, and what do I find? I had two messages from grunthos64, randomly gifting not one, but TWO games from my wishlist, just because! :O Oh my gosh! What a wonderful surprise! Then I saw that I wasn't the only one! Multiple people got games gifted to them by grunthos64 in the Ninja thread, too! Please, if you see any posts by grunthos64, give him a +1 -- he deserves it (and from all the posts I've seen, does NOT deserve the negative rep he currently has!) :D
I am so sorry to hear about your family troubles, I hope both your sister-in-law and grandma recover soon, I know how nerve wracking these things can be first hand, my own father just had a cancer removed a fortnight ago. They got all of it, but had to repurpose a thigh muscle to fill in the gap as it were, so he's gonna be sore for a good while.

It is heartwarming though to see random acts of kindness, no matter how small.

Oh gosh, I clicked on the link thinking it would take me to the game page so I could read about it, but instead it tried to add it to my account.

I didn't take it, but I may have "locked" it for awhile.

Sorry.
