cannard: Never would've guessed. Google gave me diddly squat no matter how many entries of detective superhero or whatever I tried putting in. Also some of these comic book "databases" are kinda crappy in this regard.

Now down to the top 11! And God help us all...

My Google-fu was strong but you posted The Last Mimsy before I did ;-p

missed, yes I must make my hints even more obscure muwhahaha
Alright duders, let's go this over!
3 comedy
2 sci-fi
2 fantasy
1 superheroes
1 horror
1 drama
1 action
...............
2000+ 5
90's 1
80's 3
60's 1
40's 1
Based on my barely helpful deduction...

It's safe to say that some of the 80s and 2000s leftovers are movies. I really want to find out who this last bastard superhero is so it'll make the process of elimination for movies just a LEETLE bit easier.

This superhero may, or may not, also be a movie. As I've said before it'd have to be a REALLY obscure one since pretty much every single known and slightly known one has already been named.

...and that's all I can gather. The pattern/connection between these movies is otherwise indecipherable, other than that most of them could hardly be considered arthouse fare (so browsing the Criterion Collection catalog probably won't help in this game).

Assuming the rest of the movies fit into the "nobody knows about these anymore, if they ever did" category I'll throw out another crapshoot answer:

Code Hunter

I don't understand. Was Hannibal King from hint set#3? If so, what was this: "take two parts of this video game's name(s) put them together and your have one of his team affiliations"?

Darkstalkers: The Night Warriors

Night + Stalkers

Nightstalkers

might have been helpful if someone was looking at team affiliations

I did try looking at lists of superhero team names but the lists were so agonizingly long that I never would have gotten anywhere with that. And the chance that someone would make out "Nightstalkers" from "Darkstalkers the Night Warriors" would be the same chance of someone figuring the first iteration of the backwards Rumpelstiltsken puzzle from the original King's Quest. :P

My first assumption actually was "Blood Syndicate" (Blood and Syndicate! See!) but no detectives in those comics so I went on my merry way.

Next attempted crapshoot guess:

well it was only one clue of 5 and I'm not trying to make it all that easy. :P

Welp, that was my last card for "comic book movies that are also comic book character names" so I'm done with that for now.

OK, I had Hannibal King on my short list, but then and even now with about 15 searches I can't put H.K. in that game. Yes, he has affiliation to Darkstalkers, yes the game is about Darkstalkers, no he is not listed ANYWHERE I can find nor in your links as being in the game. So, do you have to have played the game and see him in the background or what am I missing. This $#!+ is driving me insane! ;-p

Or, is this one of those cases like Alice where the clue doesn't mesh perfectly with the answer, oops, sorry.

Geez, just how obscure ARE these movies? Were these movies that many people saw during their time and that, like, some people (besides you of course) still actually remember?

I know this can't be possibly on the list but I'm going to take a, er, shot at it anyway, because I can:

See my last post, click on Alice, it wasn't even a movie, it was a TV Miniseries! :-)
