Okay... here it goes.

If you remove your credit card info from your account before you are billed, will you still be charged for & sent the items or will they be cancelled? I'm not asking this because I want to scam them or anything... its just that with all the hackings lately I'm almost afraid to leave it in there & the seller's have had 2 full days to bill me yet have not. So if I take the card out will it hurt anything?

You really should call amazon's support for this.
As good as the answers here may get, if something goes wrong,
you at least can say "but amazon said" instead of "but some random guy on some random forum said".

Letting them know why you are worried can't hurt either.

You know how to do that? As in cotact them?

I would assume that when you placed the order, the credit card information the seller needs to bill you was sent to the seller. The seller then has two days to actually process it. The reason I make this assumption is that not everyone stores their CC info on amazon and those that don't would be asked for the information when checking out.

The Link for amazon pay was way to long, so here are directions:
On the main menu bar select "Help" then "Contact us" (little box on the right)

Same for normal Amazon, if you can't find it and use firefox, hit F3 and search for "help".
I'm pretty sure I've removed credit card information from Amazon without messing up orders placed just minutes before, but if you want to play it safe it's best to ask the beast itself as others have said.
I guess the US version of Amazon doesn't offer Cash On Delivery as a payment option?

Not to my knowledge...
You need the CC info in there until it ships. I buy everything on amazon, they do not charge you until the item is shipped even from the marketplace.
I don't believe you need to store the info on your account though (unless you want to use the 1-Click purchase option) as you are not required to save your payment information. When you check out, the information is attached to that order and the payment is then processed when the item ships.

That's a shame. 'tis a very useful option, even if they do charge a little more when using it here.
