Are they all going to be bundles where you lose the extra discount unless you buy the whole pack? I don't understand this "all or nothing" approach. If the idea is to use the higher discount to lure people into buying stuff they're not really interested in, then sorry, as far as I'm concerned it's not working. If anything, it's putting me off from buying anything at all.

I really dislike the pratice and I'm surprised GOG use it so much. Is it really that successful? May I suggest going for a "build your bundle" approach for the next big sale? Or maybe even a fixed pool of games with incremental discount (i.e. the more you buy, the more you save) like you used to do for the D&D titles.

People whinged about the incremental discount. They changed it so same discount off each game in the bundle. They cant win sheesh.
GOG is a business and will try offering deals that make most people buy or want to buy stuff (and hopefully keep them coming to the site - which the Insomnia sale did and imho works a lot better for me as well).
Whats the point of a sale if people don't keep coming back to see whats new?.
Build a bundle is pretty shit (for a business) as people will just come, buy what they want then go.

I know. So did I. But even that would have been better. The main problem with it was that the base discount was really low, and to get substantial you'd basically had to buy almost the whole pack, including the mediocre titles that very few people would have otherwise considered getting.

More in general I'm not happy of how GOG is handling bundles. They tend to be a lot more expensive than their counterpart on other sites for no apparent reason, and sometime even have less content! And I still don't get why the games can't be individually discounted, especially considering that most of them have had much better deals than 50% off over the past year, with gem promos, Insomnia sale and whatnot.

As things are now I'm not likely to buy much this time around, except a couple of things that are still exclusive to GOG. The rest will most likely be much cheaper elsewere in a week or two (as was the last year and the year before).

Just my 2 cents eh, no offense intended.
I like small bundles because then I'll get a good discount and few games I'm not interested in. Bigger bundles I avoid though. Getting like four games in a bundle I don't want to get three I want (Just a example.) deters me from buying.
