I BET! O_____o7~
...the names you kids give to such "activities" these days...
I think I remember Alundra (was on PSX wasn't it?!) - actually started playing it around the time I had a breakdown, didnt like it as a result ultimately - though, I do think were it not for my mental state at the time, I probably would have!

I'm in. Thanks.
Not sure how well known it is, but Dark Colony is a very solid RTS that was apparently overlooked as Age of Empires and Starcraft were released several months later. A friend of mine lent me his CD a few years ago and, while the game lacks the depth of the other two titles, it has its own unique mechanics and a greater emphasis on combat that make it just as enjoyable, if not more so.

I'll give it another go, if I may. Thanks again, Sachys and The Sigil!
One of my favorite old games that I assume is lesser known is an old arcade called Ninja Baseball Bat Man, which is a fantastic 4-player side-scrolling beat-em-up.

In, please.
Favorite lesser-known game: Trinity text game. Oh, so good. Also, Shadowman. They're neither of them so obscure as to be unknown entirely, but they remain missing from the public front-of-the-brain consciousness.
Cheers.

Im in +1 for the giveaway.
My favourite lesser known (and imo very underrated) game is Too Human, it got a lot of bad press for a couple of things, the games designer had a huge argument on a game forum with somebody, it escalated to such a degree that people just wanted the game to fail I think.
It also fell down, insofar as it was supposed to have an "open-world" component, this did not turn out to be the case.
It also introduced a new combat system that kind of flummoxed people who could not get to grips with using the right stick for combat.
I really think the game was judged for what it "wasn't" as opposed to what it "was".
As regards the controls for combat, yeah they are a bit difficult to get used to, but once you do, you will wonder why more games aren't made like this, they are so fluid and dynamic....when Tomb Raider GotL used a similar system it was praised...go figure.
TH is a great RPG insofar as class skills affect combat, its one of the few games that I actually love to melee in. It has many diverse classes, so you can vary your experience with different game styles.
The story is based on norse mythology, but done in a cyber way, but no less interesting because of that.
My favourite class was commando :

My favourite lesser known game?
I´d proberbly say Yager! It was the first game by Yager Entertainment (SpecOps: TheLine) and a fantastic SciFi-AirCombat game!
Really much fun, overall good-looking and equiped with a nice-told storyline, but also a very hard game!

Both games are now freeware (the 2nd one was a commercial for some time before going free).
Enjoy!
