So i hadn't heard from one particular user for around 4 months. I logged in today and I had 6 messages from him, calling me a fag, bitch and "see you next tuesday", amongst other things.

It doesn't bother me hugely but I am more concerned about this user (who appears to have some mental issues) abusing other users, possibly younger people with thinner skin who might not be able to handle it.

What do you think, should I report him? I'm not even sure how.

talk with one of the blue admins about it and see what they think. someone like that doesnt deserve to be here if they start doing the same thing to others

Yes you should, and if you block him it will also send a report, but best is to just send in a support ticket.

Maybe his/her account was hijacked... or has a serious mental illness, whichever is more likely :).

I really cannot understand an abusive PM. I get public rants that are after the attention, but a PM is a direct attack at someone you have (probably) never met - I struggle to see how that would gain anything except annoy the receiver into blocking the sender.

You could start by not labelling people who are abusive as having mental issues?

Even if account hijacking is the case, I think htown1980 did the best by reporting it.
GoG.com's support will find out what is happening.

EDIT: I thought that the account had been already reported. I was condused by another post.

Possibly, but as much as we'd like to believe that everyone here is nice I think I could make a fair guess on who this is. Someone who posts here regularly is very conspicuous elsewhere for posting a lot of racist, anti-Semitic and homophobic rhetoric at anyone he dislikes or doesn't agree with. Maybe he has psychological issues but I think he's probably just a complete [insert sweary insult of your choice] because on GOG forum he's very calculating to stay just within the forum guidelines and rules.
