I do want to point out one issue you seeme to have overlooked. The Witcher 2 had 10K in sales and presumably that was near 100% income to GoG seeing that they are owned by the developer, CD ProjectRed.

I also witnessed first wave almost totally, but for others I didn't have time and will to do it.
Paying per GB per month seems a big disadvantage don't you think? Its a bleed out in their budget.

Interesting info. I would have thought a lot more money would've been made on this. Under $100,000 doesn't seem like much based on the effort put into this. Or maybe its me and my incorrect expectations.

Major update! Thanks to Mondo84's far-more-diligent collection of data for the 2nd & 3rd-run, I've incorporated columns for the 2nd run to go along with the the few small changes that occurred therein, and made a good number of corrections to the 3rd run. More details to follow after we get everything straight - and I'll update the original post accordingly. The tables themselves have already been updated, and are believed to be accurate and complete.

For 3 quarters of 2013 their revenue was 42,3 mPLN and net profit 7,8 mPLN - so yes I think they are doing fine :-)

Thanks for sharing, definitely interesting to see though I'd also really like to see time frames in the analysis since that opens a whole other world of comparative views. Don't know that anyone has those times though!

What would probably be even more interesting (and likely not measured by anyone, except maybe GOG themselves) is how long each game took to be sold out.

It's probably true that CD PROJEKT has a better deal with itself than 30%. They probably give closer to 100% of their money to themselves. Although you never know, they could have felt that their self was getting too big a cut, and decided to only give themselves something like a 60/40 split instead. But who gets the 60 and who gets the 40? Themselves or themselves? I would guess that they would probably have the leverage against themselves in this situation and could probably wrangle the 60% for themselves. But who knows.
