Should I have just thrown this in with my other thread? Ah well, more specific issue/question i'll ask in separate thread.

Anyways, I was under the understanding that gift codes did not expire. I had someone send me a gift code for the recent Fallout giveaway, took me a while to redeem it given the issues mentioned in the other thread, but when I finally went to redeem it tells me since the offer is expired, the code is no good.

So do gift codes only expire if they're part of some unique, special deal?

Kind of a bummer.

Thats wierd. There were people still using them on another thread yesterday i think
They had some problems with those gift codes, you can read about it here. Sorry you didn't get to redeem one :(

Other codes wouldn't expire as fast as those did.

Damn that's so damn lame.

It's not like these games were all that pricey to begin with, what are they 3.99 a piece on gog? So how much were people selling the free codes for, 5 bucks for all 3 rather then the 15 or so they normally would all go for? Ridiculous.

Not to mention, kinda feel like if it's freely given away, then whoever got the code should be free to do with it as they please. It's THEIR free gift, shouldn't they be free to do what they want with it? But that's another issue entirely I suppose.

Damn lame. Ah well.

Oh and for the record I was provided the code for free. David Lo-Pan deals in green eyed women, not free game codes.

I guess it has some legal issues with people generating real cash by selling stuff they got for free or something.

Anyways, don't feel too bad about it. As far as I can tell (I'm new to GoG myself) they'll keep having all kind of awesome promotions like that in the future :)
