iippo: ive got shakuhachi, but havent had the time to learn it pretty much at all. ...eventually...
I had to actually look that up lol :)
Check out this video of someone playing an irish tinwhistle, it sounds a little like the shakuhachi, the poem is cool at the start, but the actual tune starts at 3.00 mins :)

Leucius: I'm petrified of that happening to me. There's three things I do when I can't handle the world anymore, one of which is play guitar. I'd be gutted if I broke a wrist : /
My thoughts exactly mate, guitar always took me to somewhere better than I was before I picked it up.
It was funny (painfully so), My missus had inadvertently used an aerosol of furniture polish instead of bug spray to kill some bugs around a light in our hall, I came down the stairs in socks, stepped on the polish that had accumulated on the floor and landed ass over tit with my hand and wrist getting trapped in between the "L" of the stairs steps....still makes me wince to think about it lol :)
acarlson412: Several years ago I lopped off the tip of my middle finger on my fretting hand, which expectedly made playing guitar much more difficult. It's mostly healed by now, but it's still pretty uncomfortable to play with. If I broke a wrist, pretty much everything I do in life I'd be unable to do anymore. :\
Ouchies now that makes me wince even more! :)
