I finally decided to host a giveaway myself and also now have enough free time to do so. Plus, there are two things for which I celebrate and are a reason enough to giveaway something:

1)Summer is coming!!! Hurrah!:-) :-) You probably guessed by now that it is my favourite season. The reasons for that preference are that the weather is hotter and everybody goes to the sea, that...ah, who am I kidding? The main reason I like summer is because I have lots of free time- way more than I usually have, which means...time for
videogames!!! :-) Yayyyy!!! (or, if you prefer a more formal expression- time to beat the backlog!)

2) It has also been about one year since I joined GOG- but as I didn't really purchase anything and didn't get involved with the forum until the end of 2013, I don't consider it really as an anniversary and thus, I'm celebrating it less than the coming of summer.

And now that the introduction is finished, off to the main point of this thread!

Winter is my favourite season. If you're hot in summer, you can't really go beyond taking all your clothes off (and often not even that). In winter, just put on another layer and give someone a hug.

On a more controversial topic, people often tell me that (in the Northern Hemisphere) summer starts on the 21st-25th of June, and winter starts on the 21st/22nd of December.
I often have to point out that 21st-25th is MIDsummer's day, denoting the very middle of summer. It is also the longest day, which would make sense to be in the MIDDLE of summer (it is the point where the Northern Hemisphere is exposed to the sun for the longest period of time).
Similarly, 21st/22nd Deceumber denotes MIDwinter day, denoting the very middle of winter, not the start. It also happens to be the shortest day, making sense to be in the MIDDLE of winter (it is the point where the Northern Hemisphere is exposed to the sun for the shortest period of time- not at all at the North Pole).

I dunno why I felt the need to point this out. Guess I'm just argumentative :D.
