Do you really plan to play each of these games for one day only? That wouldn't work for me with all the RPGs and adventure games in your list, seeing that you won't be able to finish the RPGs and that playing adventures for more than 3 hours in a row without a pause can get very tiresome IMO. Anyway, let's give it a try.
1. Psychonauts
2. Outcast
3. Giants: Citizen Kabuto:
4. Portal 2
5. Dark Messiah of Might and Magic
6. Resonance
7. Neverwinter Nights:
But don't bother with the original campaign, my suggestion would be to start with the Aielund saga instead; it has a much better balance between hack and slash and roleplay, a more interesting setting and story and is by far the longest campaign, allowing your character to get from lvl 1 to 40 or so. If you need help with installing it, just let me know.

If you just want a quick fix, and not sit down and seriously play any of the games for a prolonged period of time, then here are my recommendations:
Play through the the part of the Blackwell series (each game is 2-3h long)
Trine (4-6h)
Ben There, Dan That! (2-3h)
Portal (~4h)
A.R.E.S. (2h)
One of the Company of Heroes Opposing Fronts campaigns (Liberation of Caen or Operation Market Garden. Hard to tell exactly how long, but these campaigns are rather short)
Next Blackwell game (-2-3h)
That should have filled your available gaming time. Save those big strategy games and CRPGs for when you feel that you only want to focus on one game for a prolonged period of time.
Also, not entering the giveaway, as I already have the game.

Played
Played way before steam started to count your playtime. it was actually my first purchase there.
And the goal is not to complete those games in a day. But to check them out. Play as much as i can/have available time. If they are good/great i might comeback to them after I try all seven games.
Some of those games had been sitting on my virtual shelf for past four years, soon five years. without ever playing them. sans why i created this silly request. to have motivation to actually install them.
beaten on release day (or day after)

Elven Legacy
Europa Universalis: Rome

One can not simply sample Myst though. Save that one for when you have a puzzle itch.

Psychonauts: definitely, one of the most interesting and unique tales ever told in a videogame. Great game-play and humor too.
Portal 2: Great story, great writing, fun puzzles and a great atmosphere accompanied by a greater soundtrack.
Deus Ex - HR: A great sequel to the Deus Ex series, would suggest you playing this directly after playing the original game.
