LiquidOxygen80: Tbh, the Ghouls in FO3 were infinitely scarier in certain aspects than a lot of what passes for standard horror fare anymore, even with weapons added...and FO3 is my LEAST favorite FO game.
DC was the worst. "Whats that? The only way to get into Washington is to go underground, in the dark, where all the ghouls are? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA oh wait you're serious."
For a second i thought you were talking about Dying Light, another survival horror game by Techland.

My hype is high on that game :P
I love dead island (yeah i know a lot of people hate it )
Well, you can't really expect any other outcome from a game which promises both a randomized experience AND story-driven gameplay. I really don't see why people are so big on procedurally generated horror games. They never (I include SCP Containment Breach in this, as well) work better than a finely hand-crafted experience.

I'm not one of those people. I frickin' liked the zambie carnage. The fetch quests not so much, but there was something really awesome hiding in that game.

yeah, for me was the exploration of the world and levels and the weapons hitting the zombies just felt right, it wasn't like in most of the games, the guns not so much, but killing zombies never turned annoying or boring for me plus the crafting system was very fun, a little unbalanced but fun
I got free Daylight with Nvidia gpu. havent had time to try it out yet - but i must say that ive never been very optimistic about it.
I just want Routine. That's the only horror game I care about.

Yeah, Nvidia got a little cheap with that promo. I guess it was the only game being released in this time frame using one of their technologies (hardware accelerated PhysX).

...instead of worrying about their "technologies" they really should have just added some actually decent game there. It was really cheap promo as you said, but luckily i got otherwise nice discount as well so i really didnt worry about the game.

I like Dead Island as well, especially the first game. It seemed the most genuine experience to me, particularly when being mobbed out in the streets.

I haven't found a good scary game lately, though I do have One Late Night on my soon-to-play list. I have to say that the first Amnesia game didn't do much for me - everything damages you, including just hiding, so it turns from a well-paced horror story into a marathon of racing between the few spots where you can simply exist in peace. I thought Penumbra did a better job of it, frankly.
