I would download this but you can't use it on Battlenet without getting banned, something to do with Blizzard's policy with unmodded games.
This with Median XL http://www.moddb.com/mods/median-xl would be absolutely amazing. Will try it out later.
I've never heard of either, but I never play online anyway, so I'm gonna try both.

I just saw this topic... How did the highres patch go?

Nice thing, but after releasing patch 1.13, which should contain resolution upgrade (at least Blizz has promissed that), it will be not that useful.

Well I can say it can't be used online (no banning, it just won't let you online period, some error comes up). I've heard of some users having graphical glitches..tinker, though..

So does this mod or the upcoming patch support.... 2304x1440?

So-so. It works fine, but all it changes is the screen resolution, not the resolution of the graphics (which would be a gigantic undertaking anyway, and is probably impossible). I tried cranking it up to 1680*1050, which is my monitor's native resolution. While it had no problem with doing so, everything became tiny. I had to take it back down to 1280*800 in order to play comfortably. That's still an improvement, however, and just the ability to actually scale the image to 16:10 is worth it.
I've been waiting for something like this, since a lot* (a small few) of older games are receiving this unofficial treatment. If Blizzard are going to do official support that allows Bnet, I may wait for that.

You can still use it for single player. It doesn't overwrite or modify any of your existing game files, so just launch the game normally if you want to go online.
