Alright well i've seen a lot of talk in the just released thread about dragon storm so i wanted to ask do you think they price not just dragon storm, but shadow wars aswell to highly?

They just released Spellforce 2: Dragon Storm at $9.99 which is the highest gog games go in terms of price (excluding witcher 2) , not to mention that shadow wars (the original game) is the same price at $9.99.

Couldn't JoWooD of simply released the Gold Edition which contains both shadow wars and dragon storm instead of trying to charge $19.98, heck the gold edition is much cheaper anyway on amazon (£6.49), Although it's actually just as expensive, if not more expensive on other Digital Distrubution websites (£17.99 on both GG and Steam which is $28.00)

Not to mention that Spellforce 2 Shadow Wars is their lowest selling game on GoG (by order of bestselling) wouldn't it make sense to just release the gold edition at $9.99 im sure their sales of this game would increase A LOT.
JooWood needs money desperately. I don´t know if this is the best way to get it.

JoWood is broke so what do you expect?
And its not like the gold edition doesn't go on sale either.

In fact it goes on sale at least twice a year. :/

No. Be it the Gold Edition or SW+DS it's 28 bucks on all other platforms for me (20€ or 18£), so i think the price is ok.
Would have been an interesting offer if the prices were like this:

SPELLFORCE 2: SHADOW WARS - 9.99
SPELLFORCE 2: DRAGON STORM - 5.99

Right now, sold together at 19.98 seem a little bit expensive.
It's less than what other DD providers ask tho.
Looking around, it looks like it's $19.99 on Steam and pretty much every other DD service. Am I wrong?

Nope. Spellforce Universe (all Spellforce titles) are also on Steam for $24.99, and I got mine when that was half priced at $12.99.

The only issue with this is that more people will get the sequel and not play shadow wars. If I remember rightly the story is a bit of a continuation even though it's a separate story.

That's the point, to tempt you to play the full story.

If that's the case then EU/UK get screwed over since on GG and Steam it's £17.99 for me which is $28.00, in any case that proves that it's no cheaper for US gamers on Steam or other DD service, however it is kinder to EU/UK since GoG is one of the only retailers that gets their currency values correct.
I think it would have ben better at $5.99 but i still just bought both games.

To be honest they are good games witha lot of play time to them so in some ways the price represents the play value.
I too, would rather it be a somewhat lower price, but it's not that bad really. I'm sure that GOG tried to negotiate for a lower price, but in the end, it's up to the publisher.
