Metro09: No surprise that the dialogue and the scenes between the Doctor and Wilf were among the best parts of the episode. The resolution was, well, a bit simplistic but here Davies did the smart thing and put the action/story in the background and does what he does best: characters. That said I thought the goodbyes were a bit much. Eccleston didn't get to say goodbye! Hopefully now they'll stop bringing Billie Tyler back.
Don't know about the new guy, I'll obviously give it a chance because it's Doctor Who but he looks pretty freaky! Not that Tom Baker was Brad Pitt but there's something strangely squarish about the guy's face.

Rofl. It was Tom's eyes that were the best thing : He had an uncanny way of bulging them outwards in a stare that reallllly was freaky.
New guy's got a lot of work to put in to overcome Tennant's shadow, but if the new scriptwriter is half decent, that shouldn't be too much for him....But for the love of all the Gods! Give him some decent companions!!!!

The Timelords were trapped in a timelock. So on the same day the Doctor destroyed them was the same day they returned.
All this prophecy malarky though... They're time travellers. Why the hell do they need prophecies?

Yes but before the Time Lock was put in place they Resurrected The Master. They could easily have resurrected Rassilon the same way. They were desperate and needed a bastard to lead them, who better than Rassilon?

No matter what you all say Paul McGann was well liked as a Doctor and you should check out his Audio plays.
