There is the occasional decent or good game coming out: Mask of the Betrayer, The Witcher, King's Bounty, ... Even Storm of Zehir, despite being overal mediocre, had its moments, and being an expansion the price was decent enough.
Sure I hope good games still get done. Given 100 games, I'm ok to have 95 of them being crap unworthy of my interest as long as the 5 good ones get made and published, and it still happens. My wallet certainly isn't suffering ...
This new wave of DRM (securom and tages mainly) are a blessing and a curse. I save plenty thanks to refusing to buy any game with securom or activation limits (tages does this also)
It is obviously a curse since I miss out on potentially good games and games even not working on my computer despite my best efforts (Medieval II: Total War Gold decided my disc wasn't in the drive and either wouldn't install or play..). Thankfully enough people realize this and are starting to flock here and boycott (act; don't start a steam group saying you will boycott something) securom or games with activation limits.
DRM isn't dead until the DMCA is dead and consumer rights get the push they need.
