And no it's not april fools, seriously these are the "problems" they are trying to solve.
silviucc: Yeah, it's just as stupid as grading light bulbs eh? No it is not... that means that manufacturers will have to do more "sucking" with less power and yes that *is* possible with better tubing, for starters.
I have a nice 1800W philips bagless vacuum cleaner and I never had to use the maximum power... granted, my apartment is not big.
Vacuum cleaners are for maintenance, once in a while, people may want to give those carpets a wash...
I have heard alot of stories with bagless vacuums that their power does decrease over time.
2000 to 1600 is perhaps minor but 900 will be a big decrease and i do doubt it has enough sucking power (waits for the jokes)
It's also the point that the EU should spend their time on more important things and not meddle so much in trivial things as this is just a tip of the iceberg.

Elmofongo: INB4 European Users say "Screw the EU"
Why do you guys hate the EU excluding this, I thought it was considered the best thing to happen to your continant (or so I thought from a history book I own) basically all the borders of each Euro nation is lifted and everyone is free to travel? Along with a united economy aswell?
It's not, lots of meddling in trivial things, only a few countries do have a real saying in things, people in the EU pay for the mistakes of other countries (saving Greece, Portugal etc etc)
