This is not a thread to discuss the merit of fanfiction itself, it is a thread to post link to fanfiction stories you think others might like. It is ok to post reviews, good or bad, of individual fanfiction stories but you must provide a link to them. It is preferable that no login is required but if so then it should not ask for too much information and then not be a source of spam.

I am reading the second part of a story on Twisting the Hellmouth. I do believe the author should write for a living as his stories are on average better than a lot of stories I paid for. That site specialize on crossover of Buffy The Vampire Slayers and other works of fiction.

The story is a take on a Buffy fanfiction classic: The second season Halloween episode. It is officially a crossover between BtVS and Terminator. I say officially because that is how the author classified it, it is however so much more. There is Peter Pan in there, The Dresden Files, X-Man and I'm forgetting a dozen universe or more. I cannot do it justice by describing it, so here at the links to the two parts:

By default the site restrict reading stories that are classified 21 year old and over but you don't need a login to read them, just indicate that you're in that age group and a cookie will remember you for that session.

I just began reading the second part tonight but so far it is very good. The best is that you don't need any familiarity with any of the universes the author uses except maybe familiarity with BtVS up to the Halloween episode in the second season. Being a Buffy fanatic I can't be sure how someone who has not seen the show understand the story.

XCOM: The Unknown Menace by Hobbes. A full length novella about the events of First Alien War. It is big though, 368094 words according to the linked page.

One of my favourite game universes is 40k, not that I would want to ever live in that universe mind you ! A lot of novels have been written about the different ages in that universe, and I suppose some of it at least may be considered fan fiction. I'm not sure though. I almost got into the table top gaming side of things, which is mind-blowingly awesome, but I backed out at the last minute. I had an army planned for the Salamander chapter of the Space marines. Recently I was pleasantly surprised to come across an incredibly intense and deadly battle that the Salamanders were involved in during 'The Age of Strife' (during the later part of that age, or the beginning of the next one) One of the things I liked about it was that it gave an indication as to how far humanity had advanced in the 40k universe up to just before The Age of Strife.

The back story of the conflict is also incredibly interesting. Its about how the god emperor conquered earth after failing to unify humanity through more peaceful means.

I'd find TET x Judas a lot more interesting, myself.

Thanks much for this, I will not look at Pokemon the same way ever again. This is quality, I too want more. I saw you can fund further chapters here. A game in that universe would be fantastic.

Well mabye I don't know who else to ask but do you know any fanfiction with this kind of tale:

A Dragon Ball Z fanfic where Planet Vegeta lived and we see Goku growing up with his native kind?

(If that has not been done after all these years than I find that a wasted opportunity.

If there is not any goddamn it should exist, heck it should be made by the creators as a non-canon alternate universe movie.
