Sorry, it wasn't my intention to offend you or any other Pole. Predjudices are always bullshit, unfortunatelly some are more offensive than others.

My Packers are going to have a tough game tomorrow - 49ers have had their number the last few seasons, and they've been banged-up all year. The very cold weather, however, is a major wildcard. Normally I'd say the cold favors the local boys but -10 to -15 F is beyond the "normal" winter gameday weather.

Nope, he's referring to the good kind of football. The kind that's somewhat less likely to cause people to die of boredom than the effects of too many nachos. But, wouldn't hand egg be rugby or Aussie rules? The ball looks a lot more like an egg than a football ball does.

Well as far as sports stuff goes I tend to discuss those things in espn and bleacher report comments and forums. It's kind of nice to be able to go to a forum and not have to hear the noise in the event ones team loses. That being said, KC...what happened?

Probably the same thing that will happen to the Seahawks. Or probably not, I'm curious as to how the officials are going to blow it for us this year. I'm still rather unhappy about the way that things ended for us the last couple times.

Well hopefully they allow penalties be reviewed (yeah the game goes on a little longer but with the challenge flag system, it should be a non adder to time). I think a bigger problem is there is a bit of east coast bias in sports. Supposedly a lot of people in the east pay and watch a significant amount in sports. More so than in the western regions. It's my belief that the salary cap the nfl implemented was more designed to tear down the football powerhouses at the time which was the 49ers and Cowboys then it was a measure to be fair to all teams (so as to give east coast teams a chance now that team quality fluctuates wildly). Now I won't say it was unfair. But a lot of teams struggle to have a quality team after winning a super bowl now a days. The cap stops a lot of teams from holding onto their good players.

This doesn't even get into the constant league changes that seem to go against west coast teams. Pocket passing QB's can't be hit real hard, QB's that look like they might run can (how the hell is this even enforced?!?). Helmet to Helmet was illegal in 2010, but only called if it was real blatant. Now it's called if the referees don't like the hit (and funny it's only called when it happens to marquee east coast players). It's no coincidence the seahawks and niners hold a lot of penalties. Even though neither team plays dirty.

In a way it sucks, but I'm kind of glad, because it just makes our teams more stronger and disciplined. When you coddle teams with rules, they still don't thrive. In fact they kind of regress (just look at the NFC/AFC north/east conferences and behold the disparity).

I hate to say it but if the 49ers, Seattle, KC, Denver, Cardinals and even SD have as much success next year, expect a league changing rule in the next 3 years that will make the teams more "fair". They may even re lift the salary cap.

Eh, I have no interest in the playoffs this year. I think all the teams I wanted out of the playoffs lost yesterday, the beagles.

Scratch that, the Pats and the 49ers are still in the playoff. Hopefully this year a Super Bowl of teams I want neither of to win won't happen. Last year was such a lousy super bowl that I paid no attention to it.

That's certainly a valid point. I remember years ago when the UW Huskies were playing particularly well, they weren't ranked #1 even though they had the hardest schedule and best record.

It gets so old hearing all those cat stuck up a tree stories because they happened on the East Coast. Most of those stories are barely local news, and yet they inflict them on us.
I hate the Pats ever since they were caught with that astonishing level of cheating years back. The 49ers I mostly wouldn't mind winning if the Seahawks and Packers don't take the title. Same goes for the Saints, I wouldn't mind them winning again as long as that means that the Pats and Broncos don't take it.h
