Ciapcian: Hello, I am in, Happy Holidays!

mindspiral: count me in and thanks for the give away
Sorry guys, you missed the giveaway. I should have updated the OP to reflect this. I blame my lack of sleep. I will rectify this now. :(

BlueKronos: Indeed, thank you jdsiege and hope your holidays are enjoyable as well!
Hey Kronos, haven't seen you in a while. (or anyone else for that matter). Hope all is well on your end, mate. Woot festivities!

Yes doing pretty well, have had a busy month and haven't been on very often, in part because of my grandmother's death, such that have been spending a lot of time with the family and looking to spend quite a bit more over the next two weeks, particularly with my grandfather who understandably is very much in mourning.

Ouch! Sorry to hear that, man. :( Definitely understandable -- you certainly need each other right now. My wishes go out to you and yours.

Starmaker: That's "giveaway". Spell it out. Don't fuck with people's filters.

Oh, and "charitable"? I think you're looking for this.

nightrunner227: You piss me off. Here's why:
1) People making other people happy is not a crime.
2) Giving away a key that likely cost ~$3.50-5.00 from a bundle doesn't mean the gifter doesn't also support charities.
3) If that charity is so special to you, why don't you actually get out there and help first hand? You want to be an asshole about it? Take the time out of your life to get involved with more than just money.
4) Rather than just a quick post-and-run, how about you give us some facts? Such as how much of their budget actually goes to their mission. Far too many charities that seem great end up wasting tons of money on trivial things. I'd love to research them, but I can't read that language and Google translate is shit.
1. You are an idiot.

2. Giving away a key that likely costs $0.01 takes up place on my screen. There's a courtesy feature implemented so that this kind of shit doesn't shit up people's screens. The OP has about as much courtesy as that love potion seller who pops up these days in GD.

2.5. Even if the OP supports charity, this is not charity. I support charity. I also eat, sleep, read books, win not-races, and grow flowers. That's overhead. I like to think I'm a net benefit to the world; that doesn't mean everything I ever do is heroic and/or directly beneficial.

3. No, and you are an idiot. I personally know an MSF doctor. I am not a doctor, though; I was never able to get medical education. My place is on the world's ass, repairing PCs and earning money so that people who actually can help have the money to go and help. Because, spoiler alert, incompetent help is always an opportunity cost loss and often an actual net loss. Disaster tourism is a fucking crime; more local resources are spent entertaining the rich white idiots than the rich white idiots spend on relief. If you want to help but are incompetent, plink away at your desk job and donate money at the end of the day. Bam, instant awesome.

3.5. Yes, entertainment is important. Entertainment makes people more productive in the long run. That doesn't mean it's charity.

4. You can't read English? Why do you write in English, then? No, I'm not going to post a charity appeal in a shit spam thread; people who click on it to waste minutes of their lifetime trying to win a $0.01 game they ostensibly want are either too poor to donate or too stupid to read. I just want the spam to respect the filter.

I admit fault on the page being in English, I only noticed that the title wasn't and left the page before the rest loaded. However, I dare you to find a single time and place where you could get King's Bounty Platinum for $0.01. The prices I listed are accurate for the history of the game. Even dividing bundle minimum price by number of games doesn't make the game's price as insignificant as you suggest. Of course, the bundle prices don't really matter, as the bundles are no longer available, thus making the alternative cost MSRP or regular sale price. And you can complain about rich white people all you want, but your cynicism makes you no better. There's plenty of people who are more philanthropic than you without hating everyone who isn't struggling to survive.

Plus, what does it matter if you know an MSF doctor? That doesn't tell me their budget allocation or how successful their work is. All you're doing is giving anecdotes to exert your apparent superiority over us lousy excuses for human beings. Honestly, my guess is that your doctor friend would be quite displeased with how you promoted the charity he works with using such a terrible attitude.

Finally, I highly doubt most people who do giveaways think about your filter when making their titles, mostly because it's something that people only complain about every few months or so. Instead of being an asshole about it, you could actually be a decent human being and politely remind them to use the entire word in future threads.

Hell, there's teenagers on this forum who act with more class than you do.

Edit: You see this? ^ This is called an argument. It gives reasoning and logic instead of pointless name-calling like repeating "You're an idiot" at the beginning of every paragraph. You might want to learn how to do that.

Edit 2: "MSF spent 944 million euros: 81 per cent was spent on humanitarian activities while 19 per cent was spent on management and fundraising." This is the information I was looking for. Thank you at least for picking a charity which actually uses its money how it should.
