They say this will be a story driven game focused most of all on immersion, set to be released later this year as a downloadable title.

Granted, they don't have much experience crafting stories, but for a while I've said that smaller core experiences like Torchlight are the future for gaming instead of AAA releases and they seem to be aiming for exactly that, so I'm hoping they'll succeed.
Well, that did it. After NecroVisioN and Hard Reset I said "next time some new indie team comes along that claims to consist of Painkiller veterans I will vomit through my eyes". Guess what just happened.

Edit: Just noticed that it's Adrian Chmielarz's new team. Was wondering what that guy was up to after leaving People Can Fly.

It's far too early to pass judgement, but between his previous work and the things he's said on his blog, I'm going to assume that I'll end up being dissatisfied with this game's storytelling :P

Painkiller. Shining example of storytelling in games. I will not hear a word against it! *Waves finger in the air*
Ahh - so this is what the Astronauts where doing. There is to little to judge by yet, but I really like graphical style of the teaser. Will be following.
About time Chmielarz does something adventure gamy again. He had his pen in Teenagent, Mystery of the Statuette (that quirky adventure you've never played) and The Prince and The Coward (that colorful adventure you've never played).
Still not much about the game, but a little more info can be pieced together here:

""We struggle with that question ourselves," he said. "Sure, it’s 'adventure,' but then so is Tomb Raider, Far Cry 3, and Journey. It’s not a point and click adventure. It’s not a Myst-like adventure. If you really, really need to give it a label, then it’s more of an 'interactive drama' than what people usually think when someone says 'adventure'."
