I wonder why they want you to link your Steam account? Possibly to introduce a system to prevent Steam buyers from circumventing regional restrictions by having other people buy it? Or maybe for targeted advertising based on the games that are in your account already?

Also: "*While stocks last". I'm going to be highly sceptical at this point. Stinks of bait-and-switch, even if GMG is known to be a legit store.

Officially because of playfire. Unofficially who knows. But I won't be buying anything from them in the foreseeable future anyway.

I linked it, it comes with the usually Steam API (the same one used by HumbleBundle, Steamgift, Galagiveaway etc), so I think there isn't a problem with that.

Playfire "needs" Steam login because you can earn credit by unlocking achievements and playing some games.

I wonder if SAM works on playfire. I've heard much about it but never used it as I don't care about achievements anyway. But if I can make credits from thin air.. why not :D... Maybe I'll buy something from GMG after all...

I think it works, because anyways you use it on Steam, you don't need the Playfire client installed to track your stats.

Thanks for the heads up. I got the fish and not PAM in the first Be Mine bundle, so maybe it's an opportunity to get it. I'll think about it. (It's not like I need the game or anything.)

Nor do I, but it has trading cards :). So 10-15 cents revenue :D

Question is whether the game is fun. Wasting hours for less than $1 isn't something I feel is worth doing.

Another balls up like the Golden Joysticks awards it looks like. Got the wrong password error when I tried to link, now registration has been suspended. "Oops!"

Oh well, hardly worth worrying about for that game.
