Leroux: I'm just saying the versions that are 100% official aren't set up like this and whether distribution of the versions you linked to is legit - that might be a gray zone again. (And they still don't come with manuals.)
That's very interesting what you've said (posted :P) about lack of manuals. Still, the series is popular enough to find some decent fan-made guides/manuals (even on GameFAQs). Still, curious why Bethesda decided to distribute only the game itself for free.
Although I don't have a link to the download for it a little known side scroller game released by Epic (Mega) games went freeware about 3 years ago.

Xargon

It's some good classic side scrolling action. I'd suggest to check it out.

No offense, but directly linking to files instead of their actual websites is a bit... impolite.

I forgot about it like a dumb; will add in next update. Thanks!

No offense taken, Seymour :) Just wanted to make the download as easy as possible for fellow GOGers, so they don't need to look for additional buttons. Will change it in next update.
Another update - 3 more games (thanks for tips!) and no direct downloads - now you can read all the info and/or see some screenshots before downloading on dedicated websites!
Heh... I actually own the retail copy of Rise of the Dragon. Think it's worth the trouble to find the 9 or so floppies and install them on a pentium system?

How is the gameplay BTW? Is it like Gemini Rue?

Leroux: These versions might lack the intro though and need some tweaking to get to work perfectly in DOSBox.
Daggerfall is the only one with an FMV intro to my knowledge, and I can confirm that it IS included in the official Bethesda freeware release.

Just installed it (the patched version which I've linked), the intro is present, and in "docs" folders there is 97p. User's Guide in pdf format. Downloading the version from Bethesda's site for comparison.
New games added to OP!
Xargon is freeware? Wow, didn't know about that. Thanks for the info! I did not manage to beat the game back then, but I surely enjoyed it. It was rather long too.

RamzesXIII: Vigilance on Talos V
I don't recall this game being officially released as freeware. Source?

And to add a new one to the list:

Squarez Deluxe from the makers of Jetpack and God of Thunder!

I've wasted many an hour trying to beat my previous high scores in this great puzzle game.
