Finished Age of Empires 3.
Much better than I originally thought, but still not as good as my (possibly rose-tinted) memories of the first two.
Quite satisfying using artillery to quickly destroy an enemies buildings.
Not convinced by the "home city" concept, since you can choose some very powerful things to get sent your way quite quickly, which might make it a bit easy for a more seasoned RTS fan (unlike myself, who mostly plays these things on easy, since I can't handle the RT part.)
Finished Secret of Monkey Island Special Edition last night. Overall I was bit unimpressed by it. Well yeah, graphics are nice and voice acting is enjoyable but those controls were not. Some puzzles were annoying and manipulating items with 100 different commands didn't really work. I found myself using some commands just ONCE and took some time to realize that. Inventory arrows some times worked and some times didn't and there were quite a lot of red herrings.
Yeah yeah, it's a classic and saying bad things about it is a blasphemy. Still, I think Curse of Monkey Island and those new Tales of... episodes are superior. Second part was bit better from the first one and at least I can't remember being that annoyed with items. I haven't played it for years so maybe I'd bash it as well if I did. But I played Curse before first Tales episode episode came out and it was as good as I remembered. I haven't played much of Escape as I was put off by those 3D thingies. Still I don't feel the same way about those Tales games...
I also finished Wallace & Gromit season before new Tales of Monkey Island season started and I enjoyed for most of the time.
Last weekend I finished Half-Life 2 Episode 2 I bought some time ago from Steam discounts. First episode left me highly unimpressed and I didn't ever take HL2 as some godsent savior of video games. Still, I was surprised how well packed game EP2 was. As always, some parts were bit tricky and annoying but nothing too fancy. Also the game crashed twice during those final showdowns but still thumbs up.
Next up is The Witcher. I'm on Act III and I've used hours to collect all of those girl cards that I can. Addictive game this is. Just needs more cowb...sex...umm....
Simon the sorcerer 2
Gothic 1
Neighbours from hell 1&2
Just finished Simon the Sorceror 1, will move onto the second now.
I'd forgotten how many obscure puzzles there were, hopefully the second will be better.
I just finish Need for speed III : Hot pursuit
Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Vegas and Guitar Hero: Metallica

Little update from me: Puzzle Quest CoTW, Gears of War and just now Ground Control 2 :-)
Not so many this year for me:
Rockband Unplugged
Racedriver: Grid
God of War: Chains of Olympus
Fallout III
These are the games that I have recently completed, or in the case of Fallout 3, recently been finished with. I have utilised the popular Swiftjowls Universal Rating System to convey the quality of each title to you, because I am highly delusional/drunk with power/using the internet. 3/3 Swiftjowls is "enjoyable," 2/3 Swiftjowls is "Horrifically bad," 1/3 is an attempt on your life, and 0/3 is "my computer couldn't run this, so I am bitter."
F.E.A.R (3/3 Swiftjowls or "Enjoyable")
Fallout 3 (1/3 Swiftjowls or "Malevolently terrible")
Beneath a Steel Sky (2/3 Swiftjowls or "Horrifically bad")
HL2: Episode Two (2/3 Swiftjowls or "Horrifically bad")
Doom 3 (3/3 Swiftjowls or "Enjoyable")
Fallout 2 (4/3 Swiftjowls or "ANOMALY DETECTED, EVACUATE THE FACILITY")
Just finished Beyond Good & Evil last night. I wish it were longer; really enjoyable game.
Finished Dawn of War - Winter Assault.

I wish it had a real ending, especially with the second one in limbo now.

Finished the following this weekend...
Ben There, Dan That.
Time Gentlemen, Please!
Simon the Sorceror 2.
After finishing Zombie Cows two games, playing StS2 was frustrating to say the least. Of the three, BT,DT was definately my favourite, the puzzles were intuitive and the writing excellent.
Whilst the writing was of similar quality in TGP, the puzzles in TGP were a little more challenging and required a bit more lateral thinking (some of which I had to look at the hint-through on the website). I probably would have found such things simple back in my adventure game youth, but the little grey cells have to work that little bit harder these days.
On the other hand, StS2 at several points had me wandering off to gamefaqs to find out what the hell I was supposed to do next. Several times I was doing things without any real knowledge of how it was going to help me in the end, which felt wrong really. Each puzzle should be to get you closer to your goal, whereas I spent a lot of time randomly solving small puzzles to get items which had no relevance until later. In some respects, later on in the game was better, since you are more confined, but some things wouldn't be obvious without certain knowledge. Wearing the puppy (Hush Puppies)? Who would ever think of that without the sheer frustration of trying every command with every item.
Sorry, I seem to have cast "Wall of Text". Many apologies. tl;dr = adventure games can sometimes be very annoying.
I'm now tempted by Simon 3D, but I've heard nothing but terrible reviews due to the 3D nature of it, so I'm very cautious...
Just "finished" AaaaaAAaaaAAAaaAAAAaAAAAA!!! A Reckless Disregard for Gravity ("finished" as in "unlocked all levels". I'll still play, though, as I still have to improve my score on a lot of them...
Either way, loved the game. Lots of fun.
Batman: Arkham Asylum. Found all the Riddler stuff, beat a couple of challenge modes, and finished on Normal. Awesome, awesome games.
