Looking through the pre order stuff, videos etc, is Geralt going to be too old for this shit? Will he get a more sprightly sidekick to take care of the serious business so he can be relegated to comic relief and geriatric antics?
Witchers live hundreds of years. He'll do fine.
He's a mutant. I actually find it refreshing to have a protagonist that isn't this 18 year old that ventures out and saves the world.
Anyone ever play the game of thrones rpg? Ser Mors was one of the most badass characters in gaming and he looked even older than Geralt in the witcher 3!

I wasn't thinking about Geralt seriously becoming comic relief and being too arthritic to wield a sword, just a bit drunk and making up comedy scenarios in my mind :D

I started playing it, but I've stopped because I am into less time intensive games at the moment. But yeah, the main character is no spring chicken either, but he was cool as far as I played.

I think it's funner to play mature, older characters in some games, definitely depends on the game's setting and story.

If I remember correctly (I have a crap memory and its been a while since I played the game) Alistair is the first character you play as so you haven't got to Ser Mors yet but he is the secondary main character you play as, the story gets really good and its worth the time if you can spare it :)

Oh yeah, I think I remember someone mentioning character changes. But yes, I've only played up to the first guy, who seemed like it wasn't his first time in the rodeo, you know. Definitely going to back to it!
