Well, I guess that this question may sound odd but is there a way to get rid of some games of my library that I don't need?
Some giveaway or something? You can say that it is unfair 'cause I could simply have them burnt on CDs or something...

I know that the honesty may be not in much honor in our days but it's just like this: I have games in my GOG library that I bought on sales or something and I don't like them and don't want to have them there. I haven't burnt them or used some other way to make some reserve copies - I just don't need them and I'm ready not to have them anymore.

Is there some way to give those games to someone who need them more than me?

You simply can't.

It might fall under the money back guarantee though if you haven't downloaded it and i believe within a specific timeframe.

i'm quite sure you can't
I don't think so. It would be impossible for GOG to verify that you haven't copied them (unless you never downloaded them in the first place). You can hide them from yourself but I guess that's not really what you're after.
btw i once bought "myst: masterpice edition" convinced that it was "real myst"

i realized the mistake only after installing it

gog support was so kind to exchange it with the game i wanted :)

once again a proof of gog greatness
Maybe the possibility to "hide" individual titles on your shelf would be a nice solution?
Maybe it's worth a site feature request? Just thinking out loud...

Its already there, click the game to expand and there is a link to hide it.

That already exists.

What do you mean? That feature is already there. And it's probably the only solution for the OP. Just hide the games and forget about them. Or better yet, look at this pile of shame whenever you're tempted to buy more lukewarm stuff during a sale. ;)

Haha cool, I never knew this. I should pay more attention to details. Good that I was curious enough to have a look at this thread :D
I still play every game I ever bought, well that I can get running. Oh I may put it down for a few years but inevitably I come back to it. How odd.

You're right! You know, I never noticed that :-/
Thanks for the tip!

Me too. That's probably why I never noticed such a feature.

Might take a while, but eventually everything gets played (or I have played the originals already in which case I bought the GOG version for nostalgic reasons or something)

Unfortunately, you still get update notifications for games that you have hidden. This is particularly annoying with games like Ring Runner which used to get an update every other minute and kept their existence fresh on my mind with the glaring red flag visually shouting at me at the top of the page.

I've made a Wishlist entry to prevent this from happening, but thus far it has managed to elude people's attention.

You just want to rag on him if he mentions Baldurs Gate or something. :P
