If one makes a purchase on Steam as a gift, one is left with 3 choices

EMAIL
GIFT DIRECTLY ON STEAM
PLACE IN INVENTORY FOR LATER

If I choose EMAIL, will it send me a simple code that I can PM to someone here or is it more like some link or something???

i never send but i yesterday i was in the receiver end of a gift send through email. basically the receiver will get a notice with a game banner (the gift) top of it and 2 option below. if he click it will open up steam page and getting option to instantly activating the game or keep it as gift

Okay, thank you that's what I was wondering, what the email looked like. So it doesn't have a code that I could just copy, it's a clickable link. That's the info I was looking for.
