Never heared of that cipher before, so it's no wonder I didn't get it. Seems like you dropped plenty of clues for those who knew of it though, well done Orion66, nice puzzle!

Thanks again for the generous giveaway and congratulations to the lucky winner!
hmm i used a caesar cipher too but with a shift of 3 so howd you get the idea to move it to 6?

Yeah I found out about it{caesar cipher] in the last hour or so in a google search, I think the popular ROT13 is based off of it.(which I knew about for a long time but didn't now about "shifting" thing)

I think it's his lucky number(hence orion66 and this post on 6-6-14), but that's my guess..

As for me, I brute-forced it :)
In hindsight probably 3 and 6 would have been somewhat logical choices, I guess.
Congrats, Mrstarker! And thanks again, Orion66!

Well, it wasn't because I'm partial to that number. I had decided on thank you for the answer and typed out the puzzle. I tried different shifts that worked out good with the text in the original post, and six worked.
That was a terrific giveaway. I tried that kind of shifted cipher, but I stopped after three iterations in either direction; guess I should have kept going!
I did a caesar shift as well, including the popular ROT13 variant, ended up trying all 25 possible shifts and none of them formed anything that jumped out at me so I figured the result of one of them was an anagram, but very few of the shifts resulted in combinations that had vowels, and none of them formed words outright so an anagram was out. Still could have been a jumbled word though but none of them looked like they'd amount to anything so I wasn't sure what other trickery might be present, or if it was perhaps Polish or something. I also looked at the web page source code of The Witcher 3 page on GOG, and the official website in case there was some key in there that might relate to the puzzle.

It was a good puzzle, but I didn't want to spend any more time on it and figured that if some people already figured it out in far less time than I, that they deserved a better chance to win. Glad that's how it panned out, and congrats to Mrstarker for the win, and thanks for giving us all a chance for this amazing game!
Grats MrStarker.
I too thought it would be some kind of shift but with so many options, I gave up. In hindsight, 6 was obvious (based on post 63 above) but at the time, it seemed a herculean task to get it right and I didn't have the time this past week to try.
Thanks for the uniqueness of your giveaway!

I went off track because I thought it might have included all mis-shifted letters. So I had G from give and C from caesar, P and M from PM etc.
The letter I got me. Because you purposely left it lower case I figured so that it was NOT included.

Orion66: Contest is over. Will update in a few minutes.

Contest is over. Alas, it seems the puzzle was harder than I intended. There were only 4 that provided the correct message and moved onto the drawing.

So, congratulations to Mrstarker!

Thanks to all who participated. As I said, it ended up being more difficult than I wanted. Hope there's no ill feelings.

The solution was: after taking all the capitalized letters, it was a two-step puzzle. The first step was a Caesar Shift cipher. In this case, it was a shift of 6 letters to the left.
Then, jumble the letters to get: THANK YOU
Thank you Orion66 for the chance to win this amazing game.
Don't feel bad for the difficulty of the puzzle. The Witcher 3 is a brand new game and among the most expensive from this site, and I believe it's only fair for someone worthy to claim it (and not just some indifferent fellow who is only posting "I'm in")
Myself, I was not even close to the answer. The Caesar Shift cipher didn't even cross my mind. I was just trying anagrams (and in Polish, muhahaha).

Congratulations to Mrstarker! He proved worthy of an excellent game!
iphgix: Yes, that I wasn't capitalized but the I in direction was capitalized. I figured the I by itself wouldn't stand out enough.
Congrats Mrstarker and thanks Orion66, very good:)
I went wandering around looking up varying characters from the Witcher series to see if anything linked to that before just giving up and putting in a guess.

Still, thanks for the giveaway and congrats to Mrstarker :)
