My favorite stealth game barring Thief (And The Dark Mod, if that counts)? Tie between Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow (Good stealth mechanics, and the train level is one of my favorite stealth levels) and Metal Gear Solid 2 (Even if the story is insane at the end.)

DubConqueror: When browsing for games in a store for Playstation 2 games, after buying a PS2 last week, I saw Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow for something like €2,-. If it's such a good game, I'll go into the city and hope I'll find it again and buy it this time.
I like it, but I also recommend Chaos Theory and the first one as well.

IIRC, Pandora Tomorrow has multiplayer as well, but I don't know if the servers are shut down.

Those were for sale too for the PS2 when I was in the city today but I didn't buy those as I already got them on GOG and Gamersgate for PC.

I only buy PS2 games that aren't available on PC, unless it turns out the PC version is a crappy Playstation port. Controls on the PC are so much easier in my experience (but it might change if I get more experience iin handling a controller?).

It might change with experience. While the controller might be cumbersome at first, you will get better with experience.
