There are no ads here other than for their own games. You can safely whitelist gog.com.

Yes, it's safe. They do have all the social media crap. There's the facebook script with the facebook button, twitter script with the twitter button, google script with google button and all the other typical google scripts. You can just disable any parts of that that bother you.
