Hey people,

I have a big problem using the downloader.
I did everything mentioned in the FAQ´s, reinstalled adobe air and the downloader, deleted the reg data of air and shit, but as soon as i double-click the gog-downloader, it won´t even start but just gives me the message "bla bla stopped working".
No explicit error message nothing.
Does anyone have a solution?

Thanks in advance!

Have you checked that you have the correct .net runtime installed?

Yeah, you'd better start downloading the .NET 4 installer and either install it or repair it.

.NET 4 or .NET 3.5?
Different versions, can't recall which one the downloader requires.
Hey guys,

thanks for the advice so far.

I just checked which .NET is installed, it says that multiple versions are installed: 2.0; 3.0; 3.5; 4 Client Profile & Extended, maybe thats the problem?

I know that multiple installations of outdated DirectX versions may cause trouble, has anyone experienced it with .NET framework?

Cheers
Nope, it's okay to have multiple versions.

You can check the events viewer (Control Panel/Administrative Tools/Event Viewer -> Windows logs -> Application) and see if you get more details about the crash. Post them here.

Just .NET 3.5 - I don't have .NET 4 on my Win XP system and the GOG Downloader works fine.
The event protocol shows a NET runtime 2.0 error, im gonna try to deinstall every older version than 3,5. Update will follow.

Edit: Finally got rid of all the old ones, reinstalled 3.5, downloader works perfectly.!

Thanks for the support!
