I'm sure a lot of gamers face this decision.
I love GOG but, I have to tolerate Steam, I am finding it difficult not to buy some early access games on Steam if they go on special offer, I want to buy them on GOG for no DRM and to actually own them but, they may never be available here so should I take the deal or just wait in hope?
I can't really afford to buy a second copy if they eventually do come to GOG or if they do it would be very frustrating to just keep waiting until they are discounted if ever to the current Steam deal.
This happened to me with Sir You are Being Hunted fortunately, according to the devs the Steam copy has no DRM and the game files can be moved to another computer and booted from the exe without Steam being present but, I'm sure this is a rare situation for a Steam game.
I am sure most early access games are tied in to specific distributors by contract
Do we need another one of these threads? Just buy wherever you want.
Origin :D
I think it is unnecessary to worry about it. If its on steam for a good price, then buy it. If its on both then its up to you.

Personally : I like steam. I like gog. I support both.

It isn't a rare situation. See the list of DRM free games on Steam thread on GOG :)

If you want services that aren't Steam to survive you need to support them. It doesn't need to be an "all or nothing" approach however.
GoG + HumbleBundle
Nobody needs Steam.

'nuff said
GOG for me :)

Don't need anything else! I only have so much time to play games, and money to spend on them in the first place. I hope for the best for the future and for Galaxy.
Galaxy
I like both - Steam and GOG. :P
Well it's the perfect time to learn patience. Most games are worth waiting a little bit before buying. Price goes down, or them come out with a Game of the Year edition.

Like Mortal Kombat Komplet, feel bad for those who bought all the DLC and missed out on the complet edition after.

I like both, but I can wait for GoG.
GOG and HB, sometimes GamersGate.

steam could not exist
