I'm still crossing my fingers that Audiosurf makes it here someday.
@skulz87, it's refreshing to see an OP such as yours as I've been seen quite a few "Need moar "Steam"y bits" posts

And I agree that Steam treats it's customers as criminals IMHO

Fenixp: There's nothing to dislike, really - if you don't want to take a chance of buying a buggy game, you don't buy an early access game. I actually wish GOG got something similar as it's a way to support many indies who don't quite have the money to see the development trough. It stands to reason that you have to be careful before buying tho.
Isn't that what this -> http://www.gog.com/indie is for, to help support indie devs?

Welcome on GOG forums and new store customer. :)

It is indeed a great store and place to hang, with a nice and cool growing community!

Yet there are flaws, IMHO the annoyance of said patches for newer games requesting a manual check, updates notifications being somewhat broken..

Also the abuse of DRM Free some people do, installing their copy everywhere, throwing around friends and family and what not..

The crusade against online clients sorting your library and patches is beyond me also, provided you are an average customer knowing you are buying a licence ANYWAY, and keeping your internet line up most of the time.. But I can live with that?

Again, welcome to GOG!! ^^

Thunderstone: As far as I'm concerned it is an option for those that want to take a chance, personally I wouldn't buy into it unless I already trust the devs or if the game looks interesting enough (and cheap enough) where I'll take a chance.
Well... Yeah, that's the point :D

It's also fully up to GOG to decide who will they support and who they won't, and ... Well, GOG, as customer-friendly as they're trying to be, are still a retailer and I don't trust them with that kind of stuff :D

Well... I'd actually like to see more of the customer-friendly steamy bits, as it stands, I might be treated as a criminal, but a criminal imprisoned in a 5* roof suite with free room service and unlimited leave. I want more, I want to be treated as a non-criminal in a 5* roof suite with free room service :-P
Enjoy your self while here my good man (or woman). I invite you to join us in complaining about new games, whining about the lack of Lucasarts games, swapping funny stories about gaming experiences, not talking about games at all and other sacred GOG festivities.

Also while your here, pick up Blood. It's still a GOG exclusive (As in not on Steam yet) and it's one of the best FPS games ever.

Good luck.
Welcome to gog!
After the cold turkey (no pun intended) I think you'll like it here ;)

The more members gog gets, the better chances they have to get more triple-a releases here.
Welcome skulz87! Hope you enjoy your stay.

The more members the site gets, the better chances they get things better than AAA releases.

Case in point, Theme Park.

Welcome to GOG, friend. Although you can't please everybody here, this is actually a nice place. You're right about the DRM-free games here.

About the reviews, though... I submitted some game reviews earlier and I do honestly wonder why they weren't included, although I didn't say anything negative or useless. Anyway, that's that. Enjoy your stay.

Just watch out for tinyE. If you don't, he'll steal your cookies.

Also, what's with your rep?

I don't know, man. Honestly, I don't mind. I guess people don't like compliments, suggestions and whatever productive. That's that, then. No hard feelings.

Anyway, with the giveaways/contests and everything... it's not bad.
