Interesting collection but have a lot of these from direct 2 drive now gamefly so not bothered with it.
Except for Bus Driver I don't think this bundle has anything I'd like.
What is Chosen?

grviper: What is Chosen?
http://www.gamersgate.com/DD-CWOS/the-chosen-well-of-souls

It is a Diablo-like hack'n'slash ARPG
Most of the game in this bundle are so bad...

MoP: Another yay for Rhiannon! Kinda wish it was a GamersGate copy but can't complain. Glad they pulled it out of the deep storage.

amok: I was thinking the same for The Chosen: Well of Souls...
Any idea if that one has at least a decent plotline/writing going for it? That might sound like a weird expectation for a hack'n'slash, but ya never know ;P
Having most of the 'probably good ones' You've mentioned before, I guess I'm left with The Chosen and Holy Avatar.

nijuu: What do u reckon the bonuses will be?
Dyscode over here mentioned the Alien/Zombie Shooter games, saw someone mention the Syberia and Still Life games as well. That's the 'less interesting / most people have them already' options I guess.
The less likely but more interesting ones I've seen mentioned on the chat were Al-Emmo, Space Hack and Daemonica.
Do not buy The Chosen aka Frater aka the worst Diablo clone in the history of gaming.

Leroux: Which are the good ones?
avatar
amok: I would say (probably)

Tank Universal (Steam)
Nikopol (Steam)
Trapped Dead (Steam)
Chains (Steam)
Scratches: Director's Cut (Steam)
Bridge Constructor (DRM Free)

And I am getting (so I assume they are good:))
The Chosen: Well of Souls (DRM Free)
Rhiannon (DRM Free)
+ something
Hm, I already have Scratches and the other ones don't really interest me, except Chains, maybe. What's good about it?

And how is Deadly 30?

I'm a bit curious about The Chosen and Rhiannon, too, but then again, I've already got so many other Action RPGs (Diablo 2, Sacred, Darkstone) and Myst-like horror adventures (like Scratches, Dark Souls 2 & 3) to play, that I'm doubtful that these would take the priority. I'm intrigued by the promise of a Celtic ghost story, but the prospect of getting stuck due to tedious first person puzzling is making me shiver all on its own ... Maybe it might be fun though to give them a try and just toy around with them for a while before shelving them, seeing how little they cost?

Aww, Steamshitfails for most part :-(. Any of the DRM-free/desura one's any good (Holy Avatar, The Chosen, Stalin Subways and what not)?

Well, that's one off the list then :-p

I thought more of these games had DRM free versions. I was sure Trapped Dead did for one.
Also I do not use Desura, but are they like GamersGate or GOG in the way you can get games?

Sigh. I dont want Syberia 1 & 2, Still Life 1&2,Alien Zombie SHooter or Zombie Shooters YET again (fuck me dead, are these the most repeated games in bundles ever????)...i hope they put up something different for the bonus :)

Didn't get very far, from the short experience I've had with it, 'grinding in quite limited locations' is what I'd call it.
Had just two linear routes of 2-3 locations to follow I believe, shoot everything and gather parts for upgrades during the day, run back and defend during the night. New enemies appear as days go by, and you meet other survivors which follow you around, and can be controlled. Not sure if any new locations get unlocked later on though.

Won't judge the gameplay as it's not really my thing, but I remember the performance being quite shoddy, anything above lowest quality lagging pretty bad. To be expected from a Flash game I suppose, but might want to take that into consideration.

There is an optional client You can use to download/update Your games. Most games on there are DRM-free though, so You don't have to have the client running to play, and can ignore it completely and get standalone installers from the Desura website as well.

What's so bad about it?

The user reviews on GG are not suggesting anything bad as such
How are the Grotesque Tactics games?
avatar
undeadcow: How are the Grotesque Tactics games?
I only played the first one.

Game play - it is good. It is a tactical RPG, can be compared to the types of FF Tactics and Fire emblem. Mechanically, the game is fine, and there are too few games like this on the PC.

The problem is that the story and the "humor". They are both atrocious. I like this types of games quite a lot, but the story actually put me off playing further than a few maps in. Seeing that it was not getting any better, I uninstalled it. It is a shame, though, as I actually enjoyed the mechanics of it.

Chains? It depends. It is just a little falling block puzzler type of game, but it is fairly competent for what it is. If you like this types, then it is OK, if you do not then stay away. It is one of those games you potter about a bit in for 1/2 hour now and then if you need to fill in some time. It is based on color, and it tries to be varied with the screens. I like it for what it is, but don't expect anything grand or groundbreaking. See the video on the Groupees page, and you see all there is to it.

Though, sometimes I like a simple little game like this to relax with, and as such it is not bad at all.
