Neobr10: Yeah, the PC version is so amazing that the multiplayer is getting shut down this year.
Couldn't care less about multiplayer, but even if you do GTA5's replaces it, so there you go. You think console multiplayer lasts forever?

Neobr10: Can't wait for another lazy port with horrible optimization and triple DRM.
"Oh no I have to play on medium settings and it still looks and runs much better than the console version, whatever will I do!"

Also it only have one DRM, SecuROM. GFWL was not used as DRM for the title, nor was Rockstar Social Club. Both were optional online services for online functionality.
Number 5 better not be bugged out like number 4. I'm still stuck on the last mission, something about you have to smash the key so many times a minute but since computer are so fast you can't do it in time or something.
Though I really hated you needed to make a window for live account in the first place. Since that is going down I do wonder what they would use now.

So, because you don't care no one else should care, am i right? A version with no multiplayer option is certainly superior to a version with working multiplayer. Yep, seems legit.

No, GTA5 does not replace it. If that was the case, we wouldn't need servers for older games and there wouldn't be anyone playing these games "replaced" by sequels, like Battlefield.

Well, GTA IV servers on consoles are lasting longer than on PCs, so, there you go.

Oh yeah, it surely does at medium. Even Metro Last Light's graphics are nothing compared to GTA IV on medium on PCs.

I guess all the people complaining about the game (even today) on the Steam forum must be console fanboys. Or maybe they're all lying. Only StringingVelvet knows the truth.

That's only true for the physical version. The digital game was Steam-only, which means Steamworks+SecuROM. Rockstar Social Club wasn't DRM, but it was certainly annoying as fuck (and it does creates more trouble than it's worth).

Haven't the two of you had this exact same discussion before?

Johnmourby: Question. If GTA 6 had every you could ever want in a game but lacked the ability to murder innocent people/prostitutes/cops would anyone buy it? As far as I can tell being a murder sim is the only reason why people love the series XD
Yeah, I would. I killed innocents or cops only if the missions required it. I don't really care if those missions were replaced with some other kind of missions.

I remember long time ago all the hoopla about "you can have sex with prostitutes in GTA San Andreas, and then kill them afterwards! OMFG! SPLORG!!!", so I was a bit surprised how tame the game was overall in the end. I don't recall having sex or killing any prostitute in the game on my playthrough, unless you count one or two missions where I was supposed to kill some bigwig who had his "girlfriend" with him in the car, and apparently they both died. Like that TV preacher guy?

The only characters with which I remember having implied sex in the game was the first girlfriend which you date in the game, and then that crazy dominatrix which I had to follow in a rubber suit or something (one of the missions). I don't even recall if there was any actual sex(ual intercourse) implied for the Dominatrix, or was she just spanking my character in chains?

cw8: This is how GTAIV looks like now, modded of course:

I think I saw some GTA IV mod on youtube before, but I don't recall it looking that good. The human characters, smoke effects ie. still looked kinda fake (as in, made with computer graphics), but those car models, oh my... The driving parts looked very photo-realistic, mainly the unnatural movement of the car revealed it is not real footage.

Then again, I presume I don't have fast enough PC for that, but I could try...
