It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).

Apology for asking this if it has already been addressed elsewhere, but several search variants didn't turn up an answer for me.

The question is, are the "Hide posts" checkboxes ("with negative rating" and "written by anonymous") broken for anyone else? I went into My Settings to change something in my account and, after saving, discovered that the boxes had become unset. Now checking them and resaving my settings does nothing, they remain unchecked every time I go in.

This is happening in Firefox/Windows 7 on two different PCs. Anyone else having this issue?

Thanks!

IAmSinistar: Thanks!
You are right. I tried both Firefox and Chrome and it unchecks itself every time.
What's the best way to bring this glitch to the attention of the great and powerful GOGs? Or is it not happening to many people and just a problem for a few?

Support would seem best. The general website for a website glitches, I'd guess.

Good point, thanks! I've sent off a message to them about it.
Considering the last 2 major glitches with the site involved executing user-posted javascript and being able to sign up an account with the same username as existing users.. just presume the site is broken :)

Sorry, I do software development as a career, so it's in my blood to submit error reports. :D

Ah, I didn't mean "don't report it" by any means.

I meant that if the site behaves incorrectly, just presume it is broken and report it :)

Gotcha, that's a sensible approach it seems. Thanks!
They wrote back that they are looking into it and closed the request ticket, so we'll see what comes of it. I'm marking the answer as the post from ChrisSD, since it is what got the ball rolling on this. Thanks all!
All in all, what the checkbox 'written by anonymous' stands for? I mean you can't be anonymous here...

Enlighten me please :)
Hey, good fucking point, Zeffyr! In all my years on GOG, I can't remember ever seeing an "anonymous" post. So WTF is that checkbox even for? Granted, I've never been hugely active in the forums, but the ability to post anonymously - if it was ever an option - must have been disabled by the end of 2010 at the latest.

Examples. There are such posts in the forums, though not that many. I think they are posts from deleted and/or disabled accounts, so you only encounter them if you go grave digging.

Thanks for clarifying that :)

I suppose that an account can be deleted, but its posts will remain and vice versa?
