Hello, I have quite a stupid problem. As I wanted to download some bonus features with GOG Downloader on my Chrome browser, it showed a security pop-up. I chose "Apply this choice for future links" and unfortunately clicked on "Do not open the file with GOG Downloader". Now, when I click, nothing happens, of course... Do you know how I could get that problem fixed? Thanks for your help, and sorry if I shouldn't have posted here.

I'm not sure how Chrome works, but I think you'll have to change it in the Preferences from the browser...

1. Click the Chrome menu Chrome menu on the browser toolbar.
2. Select Settings > Show advanced settings.
3. In the "Privacy" section, click Content settings.
4. In the dialogue that appears, find the “Handlers” section.
5. Click Manage handlers.
6. Use the drop-down menu next to a listed protocol to select the web service that should be used by default.

If for some reason you’d like to use a different handler to open a link on a page, right-click the link and select “Open link with” to choose a handler. Your default handler settings won’t be affected.

Thanks nmillar! :) I just can't add anything on the handler manager, how may I fix that? The window is completely blank, and there are no protocols in the list...

You can't manually add anything to the handler manager itself, but when you click on a link, you should get the prompt to launch application.

Another way to fix that:
Navigate to c:\Users\<USERNAME>\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data\
open file Local State in notepad
search for 'gogdownloader' and delete any references to it.

Yeah, but actually, there are no prompts anymore :/
I have seen that some people, on the web, had the same issue with Gmail, for example, where they clicked "no" and now the prompt won't appear, and the protocol won't be in the list. I will try to fix it, and if I find a solution I'll post it here.

It reactivated downloader prompt for me. Did you close all Chrome windows before editing the file?

Thiev's solution is the only way to fix it if you are using Windows 8.
