This is basically what I have been waiting for, being able to support somebody other than Steam and finding a place that has openly DRM-free installers of these games. Obviously I wished it could have been GOG instead, but I'll take this too.

I bought Pajama Sam 1 and it seems to run fine, simply via SCUMMVM.

EDIT: I'll also mention that it was Night Dive Studios who built the DRM-free installers, and while they didn't publish the games on Amazon, they will be bringing them to the Humble Store and GamersGate soon. (I hope those versions will be DRM-free, too.)

That is really great that the games are available DRM FREE. Unfortunately as far as GOG is concerned they don't really think these games would be of any real interest to the GOG crowd according to the recent GOG Twitch stream but what they don't realize is a lot of folks that played these games as kids are now parents themselves. :)

Actually I think it's the pricing that is ultimately holding GOG releases back, but I'm sure what you mentioned is a factor to an extent.

Dang, I'd like to have the Spy Fox series on my GOG shelf. Hopefully something will change and the games will make their way here.

Even if I was personally interested, Amazon is a no-go for me and many, many other people who don't happen to be Americans.
GamersGate might have a chance of getting these games DRM-Free (since they also sell System Shock 2 DRM-Free), but I wouldn't hold my breath for Humble, as System Shock 2 is Steam-only there, plus their recent Night Dive Weekly bundle was also Steam-only.

Amazon is just an awful company.

I'm glad that Tommo has changed its mind and decided to launch DRM-free versions of the Humongous games, although Amazon only sell to Americans.

They sell to Americans, and anyone else who sets their address to be a fake American address. I've bought about 2 dozen "American-only" games from amazon.com in the last 8 months or so, all of them redeemed successfully on Steam and work, and I'm in Canada. Just change the country to USA, and the postal code to "90210" and ... works for me. :) Just need to make sure to change it back when ordering physical goods from there which get shipped via courier.
