So anyway, my boss made the mistake of firing me. Not that I did anything, company just got into financial difficulties and I was supposedly expendable (read: I was pushing for a raise too aggressively.)

So yeah, now I've got two potential jobs, both paying better on the horizon - neither is 100% certain yet, but I really saw eye to eye with both teams, and one of them even allowed me to skip two 'rounds' of the work interview process and showed me around the whole potential workplace, basically trying to sell it to me, so that looks promising. Wheter or not I will actually get one of those jobs will be decided troughout next couple of days and I'm damn nervous. So yeah, cross your fingers if you don't hate me.

Edit: Done. Finished. Got the new job. It's awesome, it's got rainbows and unicorns and everything.

Good luck to you mate! I am in the middle of job searching myself. I have had a couple of interviews but nothing became of them unfortunately :(
As unfortunate as the lay off was you're turning it around... maybe that was the kick in the pants you needed to make a change for the better. Fingers crossed things work out best. Unemployment is dull so hopefully something works out rapidly and if not you're at least getting interested feedback. Best wishes.
Best of luck to you!

Don't settle for second best.
I wish you the best of luck!
Good luck, hopefully it really was for the better!!=)

I feel for you big time- shitty situations for almost everyone these days.

I suggest not counting on those two things definitely working out, keeping applying to more stuff, 9-5. Best of luck.
You can never know what will be best, even in hindsight. So I'll just wish that, whatever you decide, you won't regret it.
Good luck then!
good luck!
as cliche as it might be, I totally believe in the "things happen for a reason" blah blah.
Good luck with the job!
