A complete story told in a four-episode season.

Cognition: An Erica Reed Thriller, a complete series of the murder mystery adventure with paranormal themes, memorable female lead, dark and gripping storyline, and a distinct visual style, is available 66% off on GOG.com. That's only $9.99 for the next 24 hours.

Erica Reed is an exceptional detective, but being special always comes at a price. Her extraordinary gift, allowing her a peek into the past by simply touching an object, makes her the ultimate bloodhound, and yet, causes excruciating mental pain. Her own past is marred irreparably by a personal tragedy. Can she conquer her demons by solving one morbid case after another, or will the unfading shadow of her brother's killer torment her forever? The mystery thickens, as someone starts leaving clues, that can only be uncovered with the use of Erica's unique ability. Who? Why? Can the troubled detective last long enough to find out?

Cognition: An Erica Reed Thriller, the paranormal murder mystery adventure, comes from a team that includes Romano Molenaar, the artist that worked on such comicbook series as Batman, X-Men, and Witchblade, and--as a story consultant--Jane Jensen, who worked on Gabriel Knight and Grey Matter. With excellent graphic novel-like art style, a dark and engrossing storyline, and many challenging puzzles to solve, this adventure title will bring you many hours of thrilling gameplay. The game comes with a prequel graphic novella, and a full MP3 soundtrack!

Step outside the regular FBI procedures and embrace the troublesome gift that turns each murder case into a living nightmare, in Cognition: An Erica Reed Thriller, for only $9.99 on GOG.com. The offer lasts until Thursday, January 16, at 10:59AM GMT.

yes I know, but I thought this game was like a season pass for all the episodes once they are finished and available...
Already have the first two episodes on steam so probably won't be getting this.

those are all the episodes.
Is the 4th episode the final one?

Looks interesting but since a linux port is coming in the future (to Steam at least) I'm not going to GOG this myself.

Linux haters: Please ignore me.

hmm, ok :) they must have finished the last two episodes recently, I also own the first two from bundles and when I was looking for the rest it said "in development"
Wow... what a discount - it's quite a recent game and $20 off seems very tempting...
Hmm... I still have more than 10 unfinished p&c adventure games so I don't really need it right now. Perhaps in the future...
I've bought this last year. Pretty much a no-brainer to buy it now. Really liked the game, the plot, the characters and the puzzles. They had a KS running for this prior Double Fine's Broken Age, pretty amazing considering what they pulled off with just $34,247. Plus they fixed the bugs for the first 2 episodes, which were pretty buggy when I played them last year.

So they've said. But they also managed to deflect disinterest in supporting the forthcoming GK remake on Linux as "Activision are blocking us", too (prior to that, it was licensing costs for Unity 4.x Pro when I asked them about Cognition on Linux). So I'm dubious about their claims.

Oh I see. Well I'm not running out of games so I'll wait a bit anyway. :)
low rated
A game I never heard of that is being discounted...

(yawn)

EDIT: Okay, sorry if people misunderstood what I posted. I'm not being negative, I do check out the games if I never heard of them. One game I never heard of before but checked out is in my wishlist. ;)

That's a stupid reason for not providing a Linux version. A standard Unity Pro license for Windows also includes the ability to build for Mac and Linux with no additional costs. You only have to pay extra for the Pro versions for iOS, Android, BlackBerry and game consoles.
