karnak1: Back when they did their first Kickstarter, the adventure genre was still being considered a bit like "past stuff".
I think that, nowadays, with all the new focus in adventure gaming, they could get more attention.
Actually they missed the first (and best) funding wave of KS adventures.
I remember their first attempt, because I found out about their KS campaign at work, and when I came home they had canceled it in the mean time, lol. Too bad, as I would have pledged for that, although I don't think my low level pledge could have saved it then.
I think it is much more difficult to get funding now on KS than before, as there are a bunch of backers who feel betrayed by the past KS adventures. There is a very cynical atmosphere for funding these things right now.
It doesn't really help that EVERY KS adventure is late of original schedule (about 1-2 years), and some games have had major changes, such as BS5, Broken Age and The Longest Journey changing their format to episodic release.
Some campaigns (Precinct, The 7th Guest 3, etc.) have also left many potential backers disappointed, even if neither got even close to being funded.
So I'm very skeptical about their chances, but at least maybe this time I actually have enough time to back their thing... :-)
