Advice for everyone during today's sale:

GET THESE GAMES FROM GOG.

I got mine off Gate last night because I didn't think GOG would match prices.

The games are all associated on one big massive 10 gig download file which 8 hours after starting I'm still trying to pull down from Gate.
How lazy are you? If you are lazy, get the enhanced version. If you aren't lazy then I'd go for the cheaper option unless you don't have the time to install mods and stuff.

Honestly I like both the GOG version and the EE version.

I use a Mac, so getting BG to run, and then trying to finagle it to run with Tutu takes quite a bit of tinkering. It's not impossible, it's just a hassle. Add on to that that I actually LIKE the new npc's, and well... I like the EE version. I like the class kits and all of that.

But I also really like the originals. And GOG does a brilliant job of making them easily available for dirt cheap.

If you've played the original to death modded backwards and forwards, and want to see what the new one is like go for the EE. If you are running a Mac and don't want to mess around with Wine, go for the EE. If you are running on Windows and just want a straight up Baldur's Gate that isn't going to break the bank and don't mind modding it for maybe 30-90 min, go for the GOG version.
Hmm....apparently EE is just a compilation of mods already free on the net according to this:

EE is apparently even missing one of the mods.
