Hello and Merry Christmas to everyone. I just got a Playstation 2 console and i want some recommendations on what games I should buy. Now I'm playing only Crash Bandicoot: The Wrath of Cortex (borrowed from a friend).

Depends on what you like I guess. Do you prefer RPG cause the ps2 has some really nice JRPGs like Persona, Final fantasy, shadow hearts, Valkyrie Profile, kingdom hearts...

Jak and Daxter series, the Sly Cooper series, Burnout 3: Takedown (one of the best racing games of all time, hands-down), Dance Dance Revolution Extreme 2 (if you're into that kind of game). Ratchet and Clank series as well.

That should be plenty to get you started :)

Is hard to recommend games for the ps2 because the list is so extensive and there are so many amazing games..

I want to second the people saying Jak and Daxter, Ratchet and Clank and ICO. All fantastic games.

The Katamari games are also fun if a bit lighter fare.

Final fantasy X offcourse! on a sidenote you could also play sega/nes/snes roms and such.

Need For Speed Hot Pursuit 2 was the last great NFS game before they all went open-world (Underground) or hard core simulation(Shift). Just pick a lambo, pick a track and GO!!!

No joke. I loved the shit out of that game. That and the old Burnouts. *le sigh*

Final Fantasy 10. If you get into it its a really great game, even i cried at the end.

Well, depends on what genre you like. My favorite ones are:

- The Godfather
- Black
- Scarface: The World is Yours (Had many features used in GTA IV and GTA V but back in 2006, like multiple characters with different habilities - henchmans - and the police chase by block mechanic)
- Any GTA if you haven't played them on PC already
- Mercenaries: Playground Of Destruction
